What exactly IS Corroboree?
Corroboree is a fundraiser for SAVE, Inc., Kansas City's oldest and largest housing provider for those living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS.
For the past 16 years, the SAVE, Inc. staff, Board, volunteers, and ever-expanding group of phenomenal supporters have been gathering at the Kansas City Zoo to raise funds and show their support for the mission of SAVE, Inc. - a mission that seeks to empower those living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS to lead healthy stable lives with personal dignity.
Thanks to the tremendous commitment of our friends and advocates, SAVE is able to serve over 700 individuals and families every single month. Through housing, these individuals and families are able to gain control of their disease and focus on maintaining their health and building their future.
700 every month sounds like a lot, yet the need just here in Kansas City for those living with HIV on the verge of homelessness is over twice that amount.
It is this very reason that we refer to Corroboree as a "Party with a Purpose." The need is ever present and our Corroboree supporters remain committed year after year. Since its inception in 1994, Corroboree has raised over half a million dollars to ensure that our most vulnerable neighbors in Kansas City can find a house, a home, and most importantly - dignity. The funds raised at Corroboree through sponsorships, auction proceeds, and ticket sales all help to sustain the mission of SAVE, Inc.
Thank you for your support. It truly does change lives.
